The Vision
The Peugeot J7 is a vintage vehicle and is a good size for conversions for mobile events. The Rice Guys required a total conversion on the J7 that they had sourced to be fitted out for Chinese take away.
The Design
The design was to make the most out of the space available inside. We had to create a large serving hatch to create the most impact and a menu system that can be changed easily.
The internal workspace was to be able to inculde a few staff members to prep and serve while any extra space to be utilised for storage.
The Build
We created a digital menu display that could be viewed from the outside but the menus could be easily change from the inside, the display was covered when not in use.
We manufactured a custom made extraction hood to be installed above the catering equipment along the side van wall.
The griddle and the bain maries were positioned under the extraction hood and situated for the best workflow.
Rice Guys were pleased with the overall design and have since placed orders for a further three.
